Thanks for any help,

We have had a technical editor on the show before - her name is Susan Lowman if you want to look that up in the show archives. Mostly I have designers because those are my friends and I can strong-arm them into coming on the show :-) If you have a specific suggestion, let me know and I will contact them - in the meantime I will look for a test crocheter who likes to talk!

Thanks Yvonne - you have to email the magic word to the email address I announced in the show - usually contest1 or contest2 at (except use the real symbol) gettingloopy.com. UK entrants are welcome unless I specifically say otherwise when I announce the contest

Hi Mary Beth, Love your podcast. Although it does cost me a small fortune in books, as whenever you have a guest on the show I end up buying their book!!

Three questions: Can someone from the UK enter the wonderful contests that you have? If so is this the where we email the 'magic word'.

Love the show – a friend recently told me about the podcast and I’ve been going through the archives. I thought you made a good point on the show about designing (Aug 2008) that there are other ways to make money at crochet – teaching, tech writing, contract, etc. I would like to hear from some people in these roles. You have a lot of designers on the show, but I haven’t heard from people with other crochet jobs. What’s it like to be a tech editor or a pattern tester?

Hi Mary Beth,

I'm a librarian and a crocheter and I discovered within the last year a series of fun mysteries by Betty Hechtman that involve a group of women crocheters. The titles of her books are: Hooked on Murder, Dead Men Don't Crochet, By Hook or by Crook, and Stitch in Crime. They are really fun, light reads and I would be interested in hearing about the author.
