Please join us tonight – crochet artist Susan Huxley will be on the air. We will talk about crochet as art, and successfully selling finished crochet pieces that cost more than a dollar!

Embroidered, medium weight black tote bag with Getting Loopy! logo

The Getting Loopy bag is approximately 18” wide x 12” tall and is made of a black poly canvas, lined with black nylon. The outside pocket is embroidered with the Getting Loopy microphone logo, and is 6.75” wide x 8” tall. The straps are 1.5” wide x 21” long. This is a good, sturdy bag, not too lightweight.

The bag is $16.99 plus $4.99 for USPS First Class shipping in the continental US. Email me for other shipping rates.

Same price and dimensions as it’s Loopier cousin, this bag has the Hooked for Life logo on the pocket instead.

Join us as we count down to the final episode of Getting Loopy on December 5, 2011.

Tonight we have Pam Haschke, president of Halos of Hope, an organization that provides chemo caps to patients that need them.

Austentatious Crochet!

This is a post and dash as I am just back from Stitches and running mondo errands, but I wanted you all to know that tonight we will be talking about Austentatious Crochet, a gorgeous new book by Melissa Horozewski.

I can’t wait to hear from this new voice in crochet design – please join us!

I just got a copy of Robyn’s newest book, Crochet Stitches: Visual Encyclopedia, and it is lovely. Robyn will join us on the show tonight to tell us all about it!

9/19/11 – Marcy Smith

Marcy Smith, editor of Interweave crochet, is joining us to talk about the Best of Interweave Crochet book, and some other crochet projects that she has been working on. Please join us!

With my favorite ball, a ball of yarn of course!

We had a terrific show, broadcast live from the stairwell at the Residence Inn at Denver Airport, where LL and I were holed up trying to get home during Irene, with Alicia Kachmar. Alicia is an author, designer, and yarn bomber extraordinaire  – she is the creator of the sweater for the Mr. Rogers statue in Pittsburgh!

Last week was a solo show, and quite frankly I don’t remember all that much of what we talked about, as I was trying to dig myself out from under a mound of overbooking. Oh – one thing – we were talking about sewing, and how many of you sewed. So, do you? Answer in the comments to assuage my idle curiosity. We are also talking about a new crochet along to celebrate GL’s 200,000th download, which we are coming right up on. We are talking patterns on the Ravelry group – please join us there if you want to chime in – link above.

Tonight we welcome Zontee Hou, one of the voices behind the YarnCraft podcast, from Lion Brand. They are celebrating their 100th episode, and Zontee is joining us so we can have  a discussion about the ins and outs of crochet podcasts. Please join us!

Finished the video shoots, wrapping up the book edit, still on the road but back next Monday with a brand new show!

Thanks for your patience, and hope everyone is having a great summer.

No show tonight, 8/1/11

Sorry guys, buried in deadline hell! Stay tuned for the rest of the August schedule as soon as I figure it out!
