It has been way too long since the Crochet Cheerleader has been on the show, so tonight I will hanging out with the lovely and talented Dee Stanziano, of Crochet With Dee fame. She has all sorts of interesting tidbits to share with us and is always interesting no matter the crochet subject, so I am looking forward to hanging out with her this evening.
Just got back from the NENA show – that’s New England NeedleArts for those who didn’t know that. It’s a trade show but also cash and carry, so lots of store owners were buying new merchandise for their stores. I had a great time walking around and getting a closer look at yarns that I often can’t see well at TNNA because of the crowds – saw some new things from Kraemer and Alpaca with a Twist that made me happy, as well as Farmhouse Yarns. Not a lot of crochet on the show floor, or in fact any that I can think of, but as always I put a smile on my face, walked around the show, and told the yarn manufacturers that I could help them fix their lack of crochet. Some bit – so new designs in new yarns coming to Hooked for Life soon!
Been working at booking guests this week too – and the lovely Sarah is now updating the Upcoming Guests page so that might actually happen on occassion! She reminds me to blog too – do we love her or what?
I listened to the pod cast with Dee and heard you speaking of the human hair jewelry. I feel so much better now, knowing that it was a “fad” of sorts….you see I have a bracelet that my grandmother had made of her hair that I have kept hidden away for many years. I thought it was rather odd, even though it is quite lovely.
